i brought a music recording interface from a music store, after getting home out of curiosity i check reviews online before opening the box (so its still all new and wrapped in plastic)
anyways review i hadn't seen were bad the product has a bug for over 2 years that has not been fixed and the product has not been recalled and is still being sold in stores...i check my invoice and at the bottom it reads "all sales final.no refunds"
so can a store do that and is it legal????? especially if the product isn't open

They may not give refunds, but check with them to see if you can get store credit--you choose something else from their stock. Can't hurt to check. They may ask why you want to return it. I wouldn't say anything about the bad reviews. Lie and say you were buying it for someone as a present and come to find out they had just bought it for themselves.

Yes it is legal for stores to sell items marked as "final sale. no refunds accepted." Many stores refuse to accept returns on electronic products. Any electronic products are FINAL SALE, NO RETURNS will be accepted. In the future you might want to review a product before deciding to buy it. You could also ask the sales clerk about their return policy before making a purchase.

It would seem that your were on notice that there were no refunds. You could ask for a store credit to purchase something else.

Yes, they can do it, and yes, it is perfectly legal. A store is under no obligation whatsoever to accept returns. They are only under the obligation to publicize their return policy, which they have obviously done.

Maybe you can sell the item on eBay?
