I have a HM Revenue doc to fill out and it says use black ink but I only have blue will they reject the form?

Yes, as the Black ink is easier for their computer to read. (they scan it into the computer) As the use age of Black is stated on the form then you should use black ink and not blue.

The other posters are right, but as black ink in ball-point pens is actually VERY dark blue it really depends on how pale the ink is.

Probably. The pathetic excuse they use is that blue ink does not photocopy, only black ink. I think the majority of us know differently. Don't risk it if it is important, get a black pen. It could otherwise delay the whole thing otherwise.

Get a black ink pen. These forms are going to bureaucrats not capable of dealing with variations.
