Is TurboTax easy to use?

Question

I've been going to H&R for the last 2 years.. Have you used TurboTax, if yes, would you recommend it? What are your experiences with it? Is is easy to use?

Honestly, TurboTax is easy to use IF you know what you are doing. If you have never done your own taxes before you should ask someone who has to help you out. Usually, however, taxes are pretty simple if you just have the information off of your W-2s to fill out. You should know how many dependents you have and their information etc. TurboTax really is a simple program but if you do not know what you're doing, it can easily screw you up too. Make sure you read through each prompt and if you do not understand something that it is asking you to do, please try asking the TurboTax Live Community for help before proceeding to make sure that you get the most accurate return possible and good luck to you!

All the major brands of tax software are easy to use. That is the problem. It is easy to leave stuff off your return if you do not watch out.

I have used it for years and still I get the federal tax book then (free) fill out the paper forms to see what I may be missing, then plug it all into the software. I generally find two or three things that I would have missed otherwise.

NO!!!!!!!!!! It is a cheap pain in the ***!!!!! My brother uses it and it takes him forever! Really cheap software that sucks in every aspect
